General relativity briefly explained

So... If Space-time is a vertical plane, with y being the up/down and x being the left/right, then time is x and y is space, and the angle of your line is your speed. Everything goes the same speed across the graph, regardless of the angle they are traveling. So... if you are going through space (y) at the speed of light, you are going nearly vertical, meaning that you are going through no time while traveling this distance. So in other words, you get there almost instantly, so you now have extra time. Think of it this way; If you are running, and your friend is walking, you will get to your destination before him/her because you were moving through space faster. So you got there literally ahead of time, because the faster you move through space the slower you go through time.
